Once you figure out how to wick this thing, it’s amazing. ZERO leaking, great build quality, packaged with everything you need.
Here’s the best way I’ve found to wick it:
I’m using the included cotton in this method.
Basically, the first couple of times I did it backwards, thanks YouTube for showing me precisely the wrong way.
Essentially, you feed the cotton through while pressing down to lower the ceramic spring loaded bit, leaving just enough cotton on both sides outside the mesh to reach into the juice well, but not all the way to the bottom. You want to leave space for juice to live in there.
Here comes the important part: You want to trim the sides of the wick so there’s just enough at the sides to fill the well, cut off any excess at the sides. Then, LIFT THE WICK, and split off the bottom 1/3 or so, and cut off the UNDERSIDE, NOT THE TOP PART of the wick. Cut it as close to the mesh as you can without actually touching the mesh. Test fit the cotton in the juice well for length, and for tightness. Basically, you want the cotton to only loosely fill the well. You don’t want extra space, you want the slot filled, but with room for your tweezers to slide in and out easily. Again, don’t fill the well to the bottom, only to halfway down or so. This may take so guesswork as you can’t see in there.
Once you’ve done this on both sides, prime your cotton with plenty of juice, including the cotton under the mesh. Then reassemble the tank, fill it up, close the airflow and give a few priming pulls or let it sit for a few minutes to make sure the cotton is well saturated, and boom, away you go. I have found this makes sure the cotton directly under the mesh gets all the juice it needs. Before, when I tried to trim the TOP of the wick, I kept getting dry hits and muted flavor, and could not chain vape. Once I thought my way around the wicking problem, now it performs perfectly every time. Love this RTA!
